Restricted and Unrestricted
Restricted distributions are made from income received on funds that have been designated by donors to be given to specific non-profit organizations. There are almost 70 different beneficiaries within Warren County who receive these distributions annually. We label our categories as Health, Church, Youth/Family, Community, Arts and Scholarships.
Unrestricted distributions are made from the income earned on funds left to the discretion of the Community Foundation of Warren County’s Board of Directors after careful review of grant application requests. The requests must come from organizations with 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt status and may not be given to individuals. The categories are the same except that School replaces Church. All distributions to religious denominations are through donor-designated endowment funds. A wide variety of requests come from each and every school in the district to support the students both academically and physically. The Foundation proudly supports the multi-varied interests of non-profit organizations and welcomes grant requests that enhance the vitality of the community.
