A Resolution
Whereas, Mary Garvey served the DeFrees Family Foundation as a Director and Treasurer with distinction from the time of her election to the Board in 1992 until the Board was dissolved in 2010 and then subsequently served the DeFrees Family Memorial Fund similarly until her death on September 1, 2011.Whereas, Mary Garvey will always be remembered as a strong and tireless advocate of the mission of the DeFrees Family Foundation.
Whereas Mary Garvey was raised to Director Emerita status in October 2010 for her outstanding service and contributions to the DeFrees Family Foundation
Whereas Mary Garvey exemplified all of the ideals and standards established by Joseph and Barbara DeFrees in their development of the DeFrees Family Foundation.
Whereas The DeFrees Family Memorial Fund committee has directed that a grant of $10,000.00 be given to Paws Along the River to honor the memory of Mary Garvey
Now therefore the DeFrees Family Memorial Oversight Committee unanimously adopts this resolution on November 15, 2011 and directs it to be spread across the Minutes and a copy forwarded to her family.
